NEWBORN STUDIO PORTRAIT SESSIONS
The best time to photograph your newborn is before they are two weeks old, ideally when they are around 10 days old. During this stage in your baby’s life they tend to sleep a lot which is perfect for newborn posing – after 2 weeks they become more difficult to pose and things like baby acne can flair up. I know you may not always feel like venturing out for a photo session just after giving birth but it will be so worth it and I try and make each session as relaxing as possible for parents. If you have missed the two week period don’t worry we can still capture beautiful images for you to treasure.
So if your expecting a baby in the next few months please feel free to contact me and I will pencil you in for a session about a week after your due date. Once your baby arrives you can contact me to confirm a definite time and date.
My home studio is set up specially to cater for newborns and will be quite warm as I want to keep your baby happy and comfortable throughout the photo session as they will be naked a lot of the time! The session typically takes 2-3 hours as I allow lots of time for feeding, changing and cuddles. There is a comfy seating area for parents to relax during the session.
